INTRODUCTION TO 2899 MAGAZINE – VOLUME 2 ISSUE 2
Welcome to Volume 2, Issue 2 of 2899 Magazine.
In this issue I am proud to introduce the architect of the brand, Mahesh Enjeti, who accepted my invitation to revisit the The World of Norfolk brand a year on to give his insights on what Norfolk has achieved, and perhaps more importantly, where we as a community can head.
Some creative guidelines were set last year for interpreting the The World of Norfolk, including logos and a colour palette. Adhering to these guidelines and interweaving them strictly throughout this publication, presented an exciting challenge for myself, as editor, designer and photographer. I am proud of the outcome and continuing contribution I can make with 2899 Magazine.
Much of the success of The World of Norfolk brand is that it encompasses all the dimensions of Norfolk under one banner: its history, people, food, activities, wildlife, and nature to name but a few. Likewise, in this issue we meet Teddy Evans, explore the history of the building of the airport in WWil, discover Norfolks rich rainforests, take a trip on the HMS Bounty with Pinetree Tours and circumnavigate Norfolk in a kayak.
As small as Norfolk is, you soon discover here its no small wonder that there are a vast number of stories to tell. I have had the privilege of exploring many of these amazing stories in 2899 Magazine emulating The World of Norfolk by touching as many facets of the brand as possible.
2899 Magazine is a small sample of Norfolk that visitors can take back as a memento and share with friends, hopefully enticing them to visit.
Of course, it is impossible to fit The World of Norfolk into a single issue, and as such there are still many stories yet to be told…
