INTRODUCTION TO YOURWORLD NORFOLK ISLAND – VOLUME 5 ISSUE 1

Welcome to YourWorld Norfolk Island, Volume 5 Issue 1.

YourWorld is entering into its fifth year of production and continues to provide an array of fascinating articles and remains a freely distributed showcase for this jewel in the Pacific. Keep it with you throughout your stay, use it as a guide and then take it home to be shared with friends and family.

In this issue we cover some ground; all the way from the upcoming Commemoration of the Centenary of Gallipoli, to the Christmas in July celebrations and from Bananas on Norfolk Island all the way down to Emily Bay.

Additionally, Lisa Richards poses one of Norfolk’s age-old questions: Bligh vs Christian … who was to blame? Now, I’m not about to offer any article spoilers here, but I will say that whatever the answer to that question may be, the result is that today we can all enjoy a wondrous island steeped in many layers of history, intrigue, culture and beauty.

The events that unfolded following Bligh and Christian’s dispute will unquestionably be weaved through each and every layer of your own Norfolk Island story. Through the experiences that you have here, the people you meet, the things you see and the food you eat.

So, if you are just beginning your Norfolk journey or if you are planning the possibilities then YourWorld can help make the most of your visit. If you are at the end of this particular journey, than make sure you come back again soon.

I hope you enjoy your stay on beautiful Norfolk Island.
